It was terrible. We spent 300 dollars for 4 hours of a diagnostic just for them to tell me absolutely nothing. Then they asked for another 150 to keep looking but I needed to pay the 300 first before they would continue to look. They told me that if it gets too expensive then I can "just bring them up the title." I paid them immediately I had it towed to another shop in town that same day and the found the problem in two hours shop time. I felt completely disrespected and belittled. I asked if it was common practice for them to ask people to pay before the job is done or before they will continue a job. They said no "just when they think someone doesn't have the money to pay." I will never be played out of money by them again and I would absolutely recommend against doing business with them. That is no way to treat someone
Morgan, I am sorry that you had a bad experience. I read the notes from the testing time and there was a lot of information that lead to a possible plugged exhaust system which might require catalytic converters and that it probably had a root cause for this issue. The engine would start with the exhaust loosened from the engine. On services more than a few hundred dollars we often ask for a deposit before continuing to incur labor or parts costs. We knew it was going to cost more to fix it and asked for a deposit on our investment on time in repairing your vehicle. I am sorry if this offended you but as a business owner I can tell you that sometimes customers abandon vehicles if they feel that it is not worth investing the money into it. It was never our intention to belittle you and I am sorry it came across that way. James
