Money grabbers don't trust them
Your 1994 truck failed inspection for: the right leaf spring was broken where it attaches to the shackle, the U-bolts holding the leaf springs to the axle on both sides were broken, the rear brakes were contaminated by oil leaking from the axle seal and there was more than three inches of free movement in the steering wheel when turning. These issues were explained to you and you were shown the vehicle in that condition. To pass inspection at a Midwest Autoworx location these issues need to be remedied. Your request to repair the vehicle in a non-standard fashion such as welding the leaf spring was refused by us. If the integrity of the spring has been compromised, welding it back together will not pass inspection. You were presented with estimates which you declined and you left with your vehicle and an inspection failure form. Midwest Autoworx performs inspections to the standards of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. If you feel our inspection findings are in error and would like a second opinion I can refer you to the local Troop at 5621 Raptor Road, PO Box 568 Jefferson City, MO 65109.
