Yesterday my check engine light came on so I stopped at O'Reillys to have them see what it was. The gentleman working told me that it was a misfire in cylinder 4 and directed me to a few local shops, one of them being Midwest Autoworx, and since that was the closest one I went there. . Just to "look at my car" they told me it would be $150. It takes over an hour for them to tell me that I needed all new coil packs and at the very least I needed new spark plugs.to the tune of $200 more dollars. I asked them to put my car back together, down the street to O'Reillys and bought 4 brand new top of the line spark plugs for less then $10 a piece, and watched a video on you tube on how to change them myself.. whice only took me 20 minutes even though it was the first time in my life I has ever done it. On top of that They also way over priced the poor older man who also came in with a check engine light on right before me and got him for almost $600 for a new alternator. I watched him plead with them to wait and pay his bill in the morning when he got his social security check. Im looking for a job myself and don't have any money to spare so way to go Midwest Autoworx...way to take advantage of those who are struggling to make it
Nika, We appreciate your 5-star review. We believe you are mistaken in the text of your review. We have no record of you as a customer nor of another vehicle needing an alternator in the past week. Perhaps you have our shop confused with another shop. That said, thank you again for your 5-star review.
