I have always had great experiences with this business. I took my vehicle to Machens and always felt ripped off after the experience, but never from Midwest Autoworx. Here's why I love this place. The bolts and clips had came out of the under carriage of my vehicle, making it flap while making this awful sound whenever the car was traveling above 40 mph. My family and I took our vehicle to Machens where we had purchased it and they wanted over a $100 for bolts and clips, plus the cost of installation. I was floored and even asked Machens if they just had parts around that they could use, no such luck. Literally left their lot and drove to Midwest Autoworx and they installed free of charge on both parts and labor. I feel like Midwest has always been honest and upfront with me and my family. Do I like paying for repairs, no. I do understand that my vehicle requires maintenance from time to time. I like this place and think it's the best option in Columbia.

Thank you Mark, you are a valued customer here and we will always try to take care of you and your vehicles!

Very bad experience I use to use the location in Booneville all the time and so did my good friends Rocky and Al but sadly they said they would make things right and really didn't even try. The manager on Saturday said we would speak today and I felt ignored by him he only waved at me outside and that was it. I went in for an inspection and oil change and also had them put expensive windshield wipers of when I went out to get in my truck it wouldn't stay running so I went back in they pulled it back inside and never did figure out what the issue was but they sure did try to upsell the hell out of me to the tune of 1500 which if this problem hadn't acured I would have had them do. But now theyve lost my business indefinitely because the next day I went to get into my truck and put it in gear and my alarms went off telling me to check the break system my break line had blew I call and spoke with James and then Richard on the phone that day and they said they would take care of it but now it's costing me an extra 200 dollars

Saturday, February 2 I was traveling from Mississippi to Kansas City for a wedding. About St. Louis I got a bolt in my tire. I stopped at several places needing help as I had limited time and I know everyone is busy on a Saturday. Thank goodness I finally found my way to Midwest Autoworx in Columbia, MO. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even stayed late to get me safely back on the road. If I lived in this area, I would NO DOUBT be a regular customer!

Amy, thank you for the great review!

Oh no this review isn't fake. The service was just uncomfortably shity so I didn't want to speak on it but you know I don't like being called fake. Number 1. your employees are judgmental... number 2. y'all told me that was for different things wrong with my car to where I couldn't get it passing an inspection but yet the next day I got it passed at a different place. You also stated that it would cost upwards of $1,200 to fix a PT Cruiser that was hardly worth it so... Sorry not sorry

Hard to respond to this review as there is no information also could not locate your name in the data base at either location so I think that this is a fake review! Just read your new post, we havent had a Pt Cruiser at our shop since 10/25/2018 but not under your name, the car failed inspection for both rear control arms being bad , an inner tie rod and a bulb out for $748 in estimated repairs is this the same car and person? Please respond and or call me(James) at 5734745574, we always show our customers what parts need replaced or repaired when giving estimates , maybe you have the wrong repair shop?

Not happy about the service I received. Appreciated the thorough examination of my car but I was quoted for way more repairs than my car required. I do not plan on returning.

Hey Ryan, I know that you just wanted an oil change but ethically we are obligated to perform a preventative inspection of your vehicle to make sure it is safe and reliable for you to drive. This information will always be free as well as the inspection process and it is up to you to do what you will with it. My advisors are very thorough in explaining the benefits of maintenance and the repairs and I am not sure why you are dissatisfied with the information. I have reviewed the needed repairs and they are accompanied with photos, please call me if I can help explain any of the needed repairs.

Worst auto shop in all of Columbia, exorbitant & exaggerated prices, took way too long on diagnosis, lack of communication; overall I wish I would of took my car elsewhere! Save yourself the trouble & look elsewhere this place SUCKS! 10 hours, a whole week to get my car back, $500 for a diagnosis, they cut wires they shouldn't have & charged me $100 to fix; if that wasn't enough I had to call a tow truck to take my car from their lot because they let my battery die!! Screw this place!

Curt.... we expected this type of response so no surprise, your car had been not running for two months after having a street mechanic do major work on your engine to save you money. The lack of communication was with you not telling us the reason the car was not running, we didn't find that out till after a couple of conversations that a street mechanic had worked on your car and it ran before he worked on it, it took several hours to find the wires he had cut and spliced to the rear o2 sensor that should have gone to the crank sensor. We also told you that we didn't know about the quality of the repairs that your mechanic had made to the car, hence we were only paid to tell you why it wouldn't start and even repaired that problem. Upon starting the engine was leaking oil profusely and had no power but ran, we surmised that your mechanic needed to do a re-repair on your engine and told you so. We also are sorry that your brought car here ,as know one else could figure out why your car would not start for 2 months, we diagnose and repair that problem and now are getting verbally abused on the internet! Please stick to your street mechanic and buy another car next time he can't fix it!!
